Unlike so many other items in the game that can be found or picked up, the Starscourge Greatsword needs to be earned. Before anyone can claim the weapon for themselves, the Remembrance of Radahn needs to be obtained, and the Finger Reader will do the rest.
Where to find the Starscourge Greatsword in Elden Ring?
To reach the Starscourge Greatsword in Elden Ring, you'll need to make your way to Caelid in order to begin the fight against Radahn. He is located all the way to the south of Caelid in Redmane Castle. Radahn isn't located in the castle itself, but the lift there is needed to reach his arena on the sand dunes below.
Depending on your stage in the game, the caste itself can be skipped to immediately reach the battle. If you have defeated a few of the Great Rune holders, there will be a portal outside of the castle before the bridge. Without the portal, you must climb the side of the castle on the right side.
When you speak to the Jerren and begin the festival, you can make your way to the beach and begin the fight. This battle is difficult and using the summons around the area is your best bet. Of course, it's possible to beat the General with no summons, but the fight is designed around using them.

After Radahn is defeated, you can head back to the Roundtable Hold and speak to the Finger Reader. This NPC has plenty of items to purchase, and any time a major boss is defeated, their gear can be found here.
With the Remembrance of Radahn, you can trade it for his bow or the Starscourge Greatsword. To get both, you can always duplicate the Remembrance at a walking mausoleum.
Starscourge Greatsword stats in Elden Ring
The sword of Radahn is a Colossal Greatsword rather than a standard greatsword that you might find in Elden Ring. These are the largest versions of swords and that means they typically require the most strength and equipment load.
This Colossal Greatsword in particular can split into two separate swords with a unique Ash of War that mimics the gravity magic Radahn uses. The Ash of War is called the Starcaller Cry and has a decent amount of power with the right stats.
In terms of scaling, the Starscourge weapon will scale off of Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence. Upgrading Intelligence isn't as strong as the other two, but at least 15 points are needed to wield. At least 38 strength is needed to wield as well, so this weapon can take a while to truly utilize.
This is a great weapon for any Strength-based build in the game, and those are all the steps to obtaining the Starscourge Greatsword. For more about weapons and items, head to the Elden Ring section of our site!
