How to Explosive Sprint in FIFA 22

FIFA 22 is one of the most anticipated games at present that will be releasing on 1st October 2021 on PC, Xbox and PlayStation. The game brings changes to FUT Champions as well as Pro Clubs mode and in addition to this, one of the most hyped features to be added soon is the Explosive Sprint.

This feature allows players on the ball to burst past the opposition, opening up pace and potentially creating a goalscoring chance. If you want to learn about the Explosive Sprint in FIFA 22, here's how to do it.

Before we get into how to do a Explosive Sprint it is worth talking about controller settings, or at least one in particular, that being the "Analog Sprint" setting, by default, it is "On".

The way this setting work is simple, the more you hold the sprint button down the faster your player will sprint. By turning it "Off" you will sprint at top speed no matter how hard you press the button. We suggest you to it off if you want to regularly use the Explosive Sprint function.

In order to do an Explosive Sprint in FIFA 22, there are two things you must do.

First, you must be running in the direction your player is facing. That means, using your left stick (direction) you are running forwards. You must then press the 'RT' button on Xbox or the 'R2' button on PlayStation. If you change direction, you will stop doing the Explosive Sprint.

Take note though, the Explosive Sprint will knock the ball out in front of your player, a fast defender or committing to do the Explosive Sprint when there isn't ample space to run in to will see you quickly lose possession of the ball.

This move is best used to beat the last defender, especially if they are facing you, by the time they turn to chase the ball you not long ago knocked past them, you will already bearing down on goal.
