How to get Battle Stars and Alien Artifacts in Fortnite Season 7

The start of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 has brought with it lots of changes, updates and more in many different aspects, as the new content found through its Battle Pass, and new POI and landmarks added around the island. Focusing on this season’s Battle Pass, the game will receive one of the biggest updates in a long time, as the mechanics on the rewards available and how to unlock them will be different, by using a currency introduced during Chapter 1 and dividing the BP into new sections.

Fortnite Season 7: How to get Battle Stars

With the start of the new Battle Pass, cosmetics will no longer be tied to reaching certain season levels, as these will now be unlockable using Battle Stars.

Every time you Level Up, whether by playing and completing challenges to earn XP or by buying a Battle Pass Level with V-Bucks, you’ll earn 5 more Battle Stars. These Battle Stars can be used to unlock every individual reward depending on which ones you are interested in obtaining.

Each reward will have a different Battle Star cost based on whether this is an emote, backpack, pickaxe, etc., however, the specific skin for each page will be unlocked once you buy every single cosmetic available on that said page.

In case you don’t buy the Battle Pass since the start of the season, don’t worry as you will earn the same number of Battle Stars when you level up, while each page of the Battle Pass has rewards available for all players to claim as you play.

Fortnite Season 7: How to get Alien Artifacts

Buying the Battle Pass will also give you access to a special face-swapping alien skin known as Kymera, being the first-ever customizable skin in the game with over 800,000 combinations of head shapes, eye and skin colours, patterns and armour colours you can choose.

Most of the options will be locked from the start as the only way to enable them will be by collecting Alien Artifacts, special items which can be found across the island and inside the new Cosmic Chests.

To collect Alien Artifacts, all you have to do is explore different parts of the island impacted by the Invasion, changing each week depending on the weekly quests, or squad up and try to unravel the mystery of the crystal-encased chests.

Once you get enough, you can exchange these to claim additional styles for Kymera that permanently expand your choices of custom alien looks.

Both the Battle Pass rewards and Kymera’s customization store will be available from the start of Season 7 on 8th June until 12th September, the end date of the new season.
