Forza Motorsport will be racing its way to PC for Windows PCs, Cloud Gaming, Xbox Game Pass, and Steam on its global release day on 10 October 2023. While players can play five days early through Early Access, they still have time to make final adjustments for their PC, including syncing their Xbox Live and Steam accounts.
This will enable players to access various Xbox-related features through Steam and join multiplayer matches with friends and other players. This support guide will help players learn how to connect their Xbox Live and Steam accounts to play Forza Motorsport on day one of its release.
How To Link Xbox Live Account To Steam For Forza Motorsport?
If you’re part of the player base that will be playing Forza Motorsport on its official launch day or at Early Access on Steam, the game does require players to have an existing Xbox Live account. This will allow them to play games and access other unique and exclusive features across their Xbox console, mobile apps, Windows PC, and Steam.
Additionally, they’ll be able to connect with their friends, other players, and the global Xbox community online through various social features. Most importantly, it will allow them to join online multiplayer modes and create lobbies to play games, like Forza Motorsport, which supports online multiplayer.
After creating an Xbox Live account, you’ll need to sync it with your Steam account, which you should be logged into to proceed with the setup. We have provided the necessary steps to help players link their Xbox Live account to Steam below and play Forza Motorsport at launch:
- From the Steam UI, go to your Library and launch Forza Motorsport
- When prompted, log into your Xbox Live account by providing the details required
- Once signed in, select the account you wish to connect to Steam
- After selecting the preferred account, wait for the Steam overlay to appear on-screen before permitting it to sync by selecting the “Yes, continue” option.
Once the following steps have been completed, you will have successfully linked your Xbox Live account to Steam. This method provided above can apply to other Xbox-exclusive games that are available or will soon be launching via Steam.
You can also link your Xbox Live and Steam accounts through the Xbox app for Windows PC by heading to your Settings in the Xbox app and locating the Accounts option. If you’re signed in, choose Steam under the Linked Accounts section and follow the prompts to complete the process.
Forza Motorsport will be available on 10th October 2023 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, Cloud Gaming, Windows PC, and Steam. Players who’ve pre-ordered the game will receive Early Access, which begins on 5th October 2023.
