Genshin Impact: Spectral Secrets Preliminary Investigation guide

Genshin Impact’s latest Spectral Spectre event is finally live, with four expeditions up for grabs each day. These include S-rank, A-rank, and B-rank commissions that refresh after every 24 hours. In order to get the maximum amount of free Primogems, it’s highly recommended to pick up that one S-Rank expedition. 

As mentioned in the official gameplay details, however, players will be required to conduct a Preliminary Investigation before dispatching a party on the S-Rank expedition. How to complete Spectral Secrets Preliminary Investigation in Genshin Impact

The only way to complete Spectral Secrets Preliminary Investigation is by locating and charging three Electric Lamps by using Electrograna and defeating a certain number of Specters in Genshin Impact. It’s worth noting that the location of these Electric Lamps will vary each day. Here’s a breakdown of all the Electric Lamp locations we know so far.

Day 4 Preliminary Investigation: Wafting from Afar

The Preliminary Investigation area is southwest of Kujou Encampment.

You can navigate there by using the nearest teleport waypoint. 

How to Complete:

• Light three Electric Lamps
• Defeat eight Specters

All Electric Lamp locations on Day 3

The Preliminary Investigation area is Chinju Forest on day 3 of the Spectral Secrets event. You can navigate there by using the nearest teleport waypoint. 

As you can see in the above image, the first Electric Lamp is located on the eastern side of the Electrograna near the river. 

The second Electric Lamp is under the tree beside the Eleetrograna. You can also refer to minimap on the top right of the image for the exact location.

The final one is above the stairs in the nearby area. After a few steps, head over to the mini hut to charge the third Electric Lamp. 

All Electric Lamp locations on Day 2

The Preliminary Investigation area is Konda Village on Day 2 of the Spectral Secrets event. You can navigate there by using the nearest teleport waypoint. 

As you can see in the image above, the first Electric Lamp is located in the waterfall and players have to step up on it in order to charge it.

The second Electric Lamp is located on the riverside near the waterfall.

The final Electric Lamp is located just beside the second one, therefore, finding the last two Electric Lamps is not a big deal.

All Electric Lamp locations on Day 1

The Preliminary Investigation area is Araumi on Day 1 of the Spectral Secrets event. You can navigate there by using Narukami Island teleport waypoint. 

As you can see in the image above, the first Electric Lamp is located right in front of the Electrograna.

The second Electric Lamp is located South West of the Electrograna.

The final Electric Lamp is located on the top of a stone pillar, on the left side of the second Electric Lamp. 

So there you have it, all the locations of Electric Lamps in Genshin Impact so far. Once you charge all of them, simply defeat all the Spectres to complete the Preliminary Investigation in Spectral Secrets event.
