Genshin Impact Tighnari – Talents, Voice Actor, Story, More

Developer HoYoverse recently released the official Character Teaser trailer for Genshin Impact's upcoming 5-star Dendro character, Tighnari. Alongside some basic information about this "straight shooter," they've also highlighted other notable details, including his Talents, backstory, and the voice actors behind this studious Forest Watcher.

As the protector of the Avidya Forest, Tighnari will be featured in Phase I of the Character Event Wish banners, Travelers looking to add a Dendro character to their party. Let's look at the Verdant Strider, Tighnari, and what we can anticipate from the character when the 3.0 update launches.

Genshin Impact 3.0 Update – Tighnari's Story

Once Travelers have found their way to Sumeru by the lush Avidya Forest, they'll encounter Tighnari, a young guardian of the area. Not only is he educated in the field of botany in the Amurta Darshan, but he is a Forest Watcher who is warm and friendly to all visitors.

Noted for his large ears, long tail, and dainty face, Tighnari may often get mistaken for one of the creatures in the rainforest. Regardless of the slight mistaken identity or confusion, his primary duty is the protection of the preservation of the Avidya Forest and its visitors.

Genshin Impact 3.0 Update – Tighnari Voice Actors

As previously revealed, HoYoverse thrives on recruiting talented and, at times, unknown voice actors for several of its characters. Tighnari's Japanese voice-over actor, Sanae Kobayashi, is well-respected and renowned for her ability to do both male and female characters, a rarity in the industry.

With a portfolio that includes appearances in Sword Art Online, Yu-Goi-Oh, Lupin the Third, and Inazuma Eleven. Elliot Gindi is a relatively new name in the voice-over community as he's providing Tighnari's English voice-overs.

According to developer HoYoverse, Tighnari is positioned as a "burst damage dealer," meaning, together with his bow, he can inflict waves of damage sporadically. His Normal Attack, Khanda Barrier-Buster, allows him to power up his bow to deliver four hard-hitting shots consecutively aimed at his targets.

When he makes his Charged Attack, it allows him to launch a more precise shot, dealing greater DMG at his targets; however, when aiming, its Dendro power will significantly increase but has varying effects. At Level 1, Tighnari launches an arrow attack infused with Dendro power, dealing with Dendro DMG.

At Level 2, he fires a Wreath Arrow, dealing Dendro DMG, which, when hit, the arrow creates four Clusterbloom Arrows, which track enemies and deal Dendro DMG. His Elemental Skill, Vijnana-Phala Mine, sees him utilizing a Vijnana Stormheart, which inflicts Dendro DMG to all enemies within the AoE.

This also creates a Vijnana-Khanda Field, which summons illusions to taunt and "draw their fire." Similarly, Tighnari will gain an effect that reduces the charge-up time for the following Wreath Arrow by 2.4 seconds which will disappear after the skill ends or when Tighnari has launched three Wreath Arrows.

Fashioner's Tanglevine Shaft is the character's Elemental Burst which he uses all his seeds to launch a powerful attack that fires six Tanglevine Shafts once it tracks all enemies and deals Dendro DMG. Once enemies have been hit, these shafts create a secondary attack, producing more shafts that follow enemies and inflict more Dendro DMG.
