Honkai Star Rail Culprit: Who Stole The Detector In Old Foreman’s Treasure Quest

One of the biggest joys in Honkai Star Rail is exploring the overworld and completing side content. There is plenty of incentive to do so, as finding treasure chests and completing missions will award players with tons of rewards, including Stellar Jade, Trailblaze EXP, and rare Relics. Additionally, a lot of these stories are designed to flesh out the characters of Honkai Star Rail as you join them for an adventure.

Specifically, the most character development outside of the main story comes in Companion Missions.  Companion Missions involve spending time with a specific character and helping them with a problem they have.  Hook's Companion Mission, "Old Foreman's Treasure Quest," involves tracking down a master thief who stole her father's detector. So, if you are interested in uncovering the culprit of this crime, you've come to the right place. This article will cover who stole the detector in Old Foreman’s Treasure quest in Honkai Star Rail!

The Cook is the culprit and the one who stole the detector in Honkai Star Rail. To unlock this Companion Quest, players must be Trailblaze Level 14 or above and have completed the Trailblaze Mission "Lying in Rust." Hook will explain to the player that their father's detector is missing, and they need help finding it. There will be four parties accused of stealing the detector in Honkai Star Rail. These are:

  • The Cook
  • The Tailor
  • The Merchant
  • The Helper

Even if players know that the Cook is the culprit, they will still be required to speak with each party individually. Each person will pass the blame to someone else, and after speaking with all of the accused, the player will be able to make their judgment. If you choose incorrectly, there are no ramifications. Players will receive an extra line of dialogue from the accused party expressing their disappointment in the player, but that's about it.

After accusing the Cook, he will run away, and the player will have to give chase. After a while, the player will find the Cook talking with Sampo. The Cook will be trying to sell Sampo the detector, thereby proving he is the true culprit. Simply interact with the Cook to trigger a battle, and the quest should wrap up soon after.

And that's everything you need to know about who stole the detector in Old Foreman’s Treasure Quest in Honkai Star Rail!
