LS absent from T1 coaching staff reveal as organisation announces Daeny as head coach

It's been a contentious last few days for T1's League of Legends team, as the controversy sorrounding the fans' treatment of Nick "LS" De Cesare has drawn criticism from the community after leaks pointed out the LCK commentator was set to become their next head coach.

Now, the org is under fire once again after announcing their new additions to the coaching staff, with LS completely absent, as former DAMWON Gaming and World's winning coach Yang “Daeny” Dae-in will be at the helm.

T1 fans harassed both LS and the organisation on multiple occasions, going from renting a truck parked outside SKT's offices to protest the roster decision all the way to sending death threat's to LS' grandmother, forcing him to delete his social media presence.

While it's true that LS' background is less than stellar, with instances of him defending racist comments and overall being perceived as a controversial figure in the League of Legends community, people weren't thrilled with T1 decision to seemingly sweep it all under the rug by bringing Daeny.

From a pure team-oriented standpoint, bringing Daeny means having a proven coach at the helm of one of the most important LoL orgs in the scene that's been disappointingly absent from multiple World's by this point, something unthinkable talent like Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok are part of the roster.

It remains to be seen if T1 will issue a final statement or if they will move in from this entirely.
