Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been one of the most popular games for the Nintendo Switch. Ever since the game launched, it has been at the top of the charts as a fun and easy game to play. A lot of hardcore fans like to get into the depth of the game, making the best karts possible to play at a competitive level.

The game also goes through a lot of changes with each new DLC wave, oftentimes shaking up the meta and introducing new courses. Lately, new DLC characters have been coming with each wave. Here, we will tell you how to unlock these characters and who to expect to come next.

In the last few years of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, there have been waves of DLC that add new racing tracks for players to try out. Lately, there have even been new characters coming with each DLC wave.

Unlocking them is very easy. All you need to do is purchase the DLC and you will automatically get the new characters when they are released. You cannot play with any of the DLC characters without purchasing the DLC first. There is no way to unlock them like other characters in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

What Are The New DLC Characters Coming To Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mario Kart 8 has seen a huge amount of characters join the roster, from both the Mario world and other Nintendo series. Examples include Link, Inklings, and Animal Crossing Villagers. New characters have been added in the last wave which includes Birdo, Petey Pirhana, Wiggler, and Kamek. So who is next for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?

Since this will be the last wave of DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, we expect a new character will be added from another game series. Maybe Samus from Metroid or Kirby could be added into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. There's also the chance it could be another Mario character, like Pauline, but we will have to wait and see.
