Spring is finally here and for so many that can mean only one thing, baseball is back. It was a tumultuous offseason for Major League Baseball including a breakdown in negotiations between the Players Union and the Team Owners, but all has been resolved and baseball is set to return to action.

Of course, with the season gearing up for Opening Day, so many around the world are itching to get their baseball fix. Game Developers San Diego Studio have you all covered as their popular MLB The Show series is set to continue.

MLB The Show 22 - Release Date and Early Access

While there were questions surrounding the start of the 2022 MLB season over the last few months, the seasonal drop from San Diego Studios was never in doubt. As such, MLB The Show is scheduled to go live worldwide on a multitude of platforms on 5th April 2022.

It should be noted that there is also an early access period available for players with an active Xbox Game Pass subscription. Those with a Game Pass subscription will have the opportunity to purchase the Xbox Game Pass Early Access Bundle for $49.99. This early access bundle will allow users to enjoy MLB The Show 22 four days early beginning 1st April and provides the following in-game rewards:

• 2 Gold Choice Packs
• 10 The Show Packs
• 1 Ballplayer Pack
• Double Daily rewards
• 10K Stubs

MLB The Show 22 - Game Modes and Platforms

There are a number of different game modes for players of all interests to enjoy in MLB The Show 22. From quick-play with current MLB rosters to Diamond Dynasty allowing users to link generations of players, The Show has you covered with the following modes:

• Road to the Show (Career mode)
• Diamond Dynasty (Card-based Create a Team mode)
• Online Co-Op (2v2 & 3v3)
• Head to Head (Local and Online)
• Franchise (Season mode controlling one of the existing MLB teams)
• Minigames (Tutorials, Training, and Skill Games)

Players on the following platforms will have the opportunity to enjoy the Opening Day action:

• Xbox Series X|S
• Xbox One
• PlayStation 5
• PlayStation 4
• Nintendo Switch
