Outriders Worldslayer PAX Class Trees And Ascension System Explained

Outriders Worldslayer is making several changes to the game's progression by introducing new skills trees for existing classes called PAX class trees and by adding a new end-game progression system called Ascension System.

While the upcoming Outriders expansion won't be adding a new class, adding new skill trees for existing classes and introducing the Ascension System seem worthwhile additions that would allow for a more versatile progression.

With that said, here's everything you need to know about the PAX class trees and the Ascension System in Outriders Worldslayer

Outriders PAX class trees explained

PAX class trees add two new skill trees for each of the four existing Outriders classes. These are - Technomancer, Pyromancer, Trickster, and Devastator. It becomes available once you reach level 30 (or start a new character using level boost.)

Unlike your existing three skill trees, the nodes in PAX class trees are not unlocked via Class Points that you earn from leveling up. Instead, nodes in PAX class trees require PAX points, which you gain by generally progressing the game.

While this means that you may not be unlocking new nodes in your new class trees often, developer People Can Fly claims that every node in the PAX class trees is equivalent to major nodes in your existing class trees, thus making every node unique and essential in its own right.

These are the new skill trees for each class in Outriders Worldslayer -

  • Pyromancer
    • Gunblazer
    • Pyromaniac
  • Technomancer
    • Desolator
    • Overseer
  • Devastator
    • Wrecker
    • Tectonic Shifter
  • Trickster
    • Specter
    • Exploiter

The Ascension System in Outriders Worldslayer explained

The Ascension System tracks your progress after you have reached the level cap of 30. You will level up your Ascension rank by gaining XP. Every time you level up, you gain an Ascension point, which you can spend on one of the four Ascension attributes. They are - Brutality, Endurance, Prowess, and Anomaly.

You can invest in five different options within these attributes. Every option has a max limit of 10 Ascension points. To fill or unlock every option in these four attributes, you will need 200 Ascension points. According to the developer, you will need 100+ hours to max out Ascension levels.

That's everything you need to know about the PAX class trees and the Ascension system in Outriders Worldslayers.
