How To Get Ice Beam TM in Pokémon Scarlet And Violet

If you are wondering how you can get the Ice Beam TM in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, we have the perfect guide to help you out.
How To Get Ice Beam TM in Pokémon Scarlet And Violet

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, there are a lot of new features were introduced in the game. But there were a lot of things that remained the same as well. For example, Technical Machines, or TM's for short, are a long-standing staple in the series.

TM's allow you to teach your Pokemon moves that they normally could not learn on their own. One of the better TM's in the game is Ice Beam. This is because a move like Ice Beam completely shuts down Pokemon like Garchomp who is 4X weak to ice moves. Here, we will teach you how you can get the Ice Beam TM.

The Ice Beam TM is also known as TM135. In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, there are multiple avenues to get the Ice Beam TM. One of the most common ways to find the Ice Beam TM is to find it in the world as an item. There are a couple of locations where you can find TM135:

  • East Province Area One
  • Glaseado Mountain
  • North Province Area One
  • Socarrat Trail
  • West Province Area One

Within these locations, you will find the Ice Beam TM at least once in the open world. The best way to find the TM is if you are riding your Legendary Pokemon and have all its traversal abilities unlocked. That means climbing up cliffs, flying around, and jumping high. That is because TM's are not always on ground level.

How To Craft The Ice Beam TM In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

If searching for the Ice Beam TM sounds too much of a pain, you could always craft the TM at any Pokemon Center. But there is a catch that you should be aware of. You must first beat Eri of Team Star before you can craft the Ice Beam TM. Without doing that, you cannot craft TM135. She is the strongest member of Team Star with Pokemon at around level 50, so it could take players a while to reach this point.

Once you are able to craft TM135, you will need to collect a few items from Pokemon before you can do so. The crafting recipe for the Ice Beam TM is as follows:

  • 10000 LP
  • 3 Cryogonal Ice
  • 3 Shellder Pearl
  • 3 Delibird Parcel

The best way to get these items is to battle these Pokemon in the wild using the Let's Go feature to quickly defeat these Pokemon. You will beat these Pokemon much faster and on top of that, your Pokemon will collect the items as well.
