Where To Find The Protect TM In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it is important to have your Pokemon have the correct moves to make sure they are prepared for anything. This is especially true if you are doing ranked and competitive Pokemon battles. Knowing the meta is very important in Pokemon and knowing what moves are in the meta is just as important.

That is why TMs exist in the Pokemon series. These TMs help teach your Pokemon useful moves that they can use in competitive Pokemon battles. This is especially true for the Protect TM. Protect is probably the most important move that you need to teach your Pokemon for competitive battles. That is why we are making this guide to help you acquire the Protect TM.

Where To Find The Protect TM In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet

There are a couple of different locations where you can get the Protect TM in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Protect is also known as TM007, so you need to be on the lookout for this item as you travel around the world. Here are the known locations where you can find TM007 in the overworld of Scarlet and Violet:

  • Alfornada Cavern
  • South Province Area One
  • South Province Area Two
  • South Province Area Four

It will take a little bit of exploring, but these are the locations where you can find the Protect TM. All you need to do is find a shiny glowing yellow Pokeball on the field, and you should be able to find TM007 pretty easily.

If you are playing competitive Pokemon battles, you will need a lot of Protect TMs. Luckily, you can actually craft TM007 in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. It is a pretty easy recipe as well. Here are the materials you need to craft Protect in Scarlet and Violet:

  • 400 LP
  • 3 Lechonk Hair
  • 3 Scatterbug Powder

These are all materials that you can get very early in the game. To farm these materials, we suggest that you take advantage of the Let's Go feature in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. This means that you send your Pokemon to auto-battle both Lechonk and Scatterbug. If you do so, your Pokemon will also automatically collect the materials that they would drop. This makes farming materials to craft TMs so much easier.
