Pokémon GO Adventure week details - Amaura, Tyrunt, and more

Adventure Week in Pokémon GO gets new details like Amaura and Tyrunt debuts.
Pokémon GO Adventure week details - Amaura, Tyrunt, and more

Adventure Week was already announced in Pokémon GO with the latest June update blog for 2022. The month brings plenty of new content including a new season, one of the biggest events of the year, and some more Pokémon debuts.

With two major events around the corner in June, all of the details surrounding Adventure Week have been revealed. This event has appeared in the past and it always revolves around the rock or fossil-based Pokémon. What makes this year's event so special is the addition of both Amaura and Tyrunt to the fossil lineup. But earning them won't be as easy as walking around the wild.

Anytime an event like Adventure Week goes live in Pokémon GO, one of the biggest concerns is the Pokémon that are set to appear. Now that all the details are out, we can see the full extent of wild encounters, field research rewards, and hatchable Pokémon.

Amaura and Tyrunt may take more effort to catch than other debuts because they aren't in the wild. Instead, you'll need to hatch eggs or complete Field Research. There are far more Pokémon to catch aside from them though. Each category of encounters for the event is listed below.

Wild Pokémon:

  • Omanyte
  • Rhyhorn
  • Kabuto
  • Larvitar
  • Aron
  • Lileep
  • Anorith
  • Cranidos
  • Shieldon
  • Graveler
  • Aerodactyl
  • Pupitar

Raid Pokémon:

  • Geodude
  • Alolan Geodude
  • Sudowoodo
  • Roggenrola
  • Rhydon
  • Shuckle
  • Tyranitar
  • Aggron
  • Groudon
  • Mega Aerodactyl

Egg Hatches:

  • Shuckle
  • Slugma
  • Cranidos
  • Shieldon
  • Tirtouga
  • Archen
  • Tyrunt
  • Amaura

Field Research task encounters

  • Omanyte
  • Kabuto
  • Aerodactyl
  • Lileep
  • Anorith
  • Cranidos
  • Shieldon
  • Tyrunt
  • Amaura

Aside from the debut Fossil Pokémon, there are two other Pokémon that are typically much harder to get. Tirtouga itself is usually very rare but has appeared in other events. Archen is also super rare, and this event gives you the chance to capitalize on all the rare Rock-types and Fossils.

Adventure Week start time and bonuses

The 2022 version of Adventure Week will go live almost directly after Pokémon GO Fest, leaving only about one day to take a breather. Everyone can start collecting Fossils on the 7th of June at 10 am local time. They will disappear once again on the 12th of June at 8 pm local time.

During the event, the player base can complete collective challenges for bonuses. Two of the confirmed bonuses so far are 2x XP for spinning stops and 5x bonus XP for spinning a stop for the first time. That only seems to be the start of the bonuses. When the event ends, there should be a few days of rest before the events begin again.
