This guide will cover everything you'll need to know about Pokémon GO August 2022 Legendary and Mega Raid Hours and schedules.
Pokemon GO August 2022 Raid Hour - Dates, Time, Featured Pokemon
Every month Niantic brings its players new rotations of Legendary Pokémon and Mega Pokémon to conquer and catch in Pokémon GO Raids. Last month in Pokémon GO, players got to catch some Kanto region classics like Zapdos, Dialga, Mega Gengar, and Mega Pidgeot.

However, in August 2022, Pokémon GO players will get to catch some reasonably newer-released Pokémon like Zamazena, Zacian, and Genesect. Additionally, older classics like Mega Slowbro and Mega Ampharos.

For August 2022, the Pokémon GO Raid Hours event will take place every Wednesday from 6 pm to 7 pm local time.

Pokémon GO players can catch as many Legendary Pokémon within the hour at Gyms during these hours. But for those unable to catch any, don’t worry; the Legendary Pokémon will be available in Raids, featuring them popping up nearby.

Compared to last month’s list of Legendary and Mega Pokémon, Pokémon GO players can expect some variety in Pokémon this coming August 2022. Do note that Raid rotations all start and end at 10 am local time unless Niantic advises otherwise.

Here are all the Legendary and Mega Pokémon Raid rotation schedules throughout the month.

  • 31st July to 10th August - Palkia
  • 31st July to 10th August - Mega Abomasnow
  • 10th August to 18th August - Genesect (Genesect will have a different Drive)
  • 10th August to 18th August - Undisclosed Mega Pokémon
  • 18th August to 31st August - Zacian and Zamazenta
  • 18th August to 25th August - Mega Slowbro
  • 25th August to 31st August - Mega Ampharos

Pokémon GO players must keep their eyes peeled, as August 2022’s list of Legendary and Mega Pokémon features Shiny variations. As a result, it is the perfect opportunity to catch ‘em all, or at least acquire the Shiny Pokémon players haven’t caught yet. For August 2022, there’ll be a Shiny variation of Palkia, Mega Abomasnow, Mega Slowbro, and Mega Ampharos.

Also, stay tuned to Niantic’s announcement as August 2022 draws near as Genesect will have a different Drive than it had in previous Pokémon GO appearances. Keep an eye out for the Mega Pokémon from 10th to 18th August 2022.

Overall, Pokémon GO’s August 2022 Legendary and Mega Raids seem like they’ll be a blast to conquer, especially for all the Weather-boosted and Shiny variations Pokémon GO players can catch.

Zacian and Zamazenta are among the few Pokémon with the strongest stats at 20th and 21st place compared to over eight hundred over Pokémon. On the other hand, Palkia comes out on top at 12th place with the strongest combat power out of all the available Pokémon. So, don’t miss out on Pokémon GO August 2022 Legendary and Mega Raids.
