Pokémon GO Trainers Complain Over Limited Hisuian Egg Pool

One Pokémon GO Trainer took to Reddit recently to voice their frustration over the change to the Hisuian Pokémon 7km egg pool run.

Pokémon GO's Season of GO update marked the launch of several new Pokémon, exciting events, and plenty of balance changes. This also saw an influx of Pokémon from the Hisui region crossing over from the previously released Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Throughout the limited-time Hisuian Discoveries event, variants of Hisuian regional Pokémon were available to hatch from 7km eggs. Unfortunately for developer Niantic, this didn't settle well with the player base, as many argued that the Hisuian eggs could've remained in rotation for much longer.

Niantic Pressed By Pokémon GO Trainers To Reverse Hisui Egg Changes

Developer Niantic had made changes to their augmented reality (AR) mobile game Pokémon GO, which didn't seem to please many Trainers. According to an official blog post, this change saw them being able to hatch eggs containing Pokémon from the Hisui region; however, it was only for a limited period.

Niantic had frequently rotated the game's egg pool to accommodate the content available for the particular season. As the game's current season is the Season of GO, and with Hisuian Pokémon being introduced, many felt the duration should've been much longer.

One Pokémon GO Trainer expressed their anger and frustrations on a Reddit post, which saw at least 241 comments and a staggering 98% upvote on the platform. According to Redditor, Chloroform-D 16, they're having a hard time understanding why Niantic didn't decide to allow the Hisuian egg pool, particularly for 7km, to run for longer.

"All I was able to hatch was one Growlithe, one terrible IV Sneasel, one OK Qwilfish, and a couple of Voltorbs. And now it's back to the same garbage pool we've had for what feels like years," the Redditor stated.

Many Trainers shared their anger and disapproval online as they detailed their dismal experiences during the Hisuian Discoveries event. Redditor QueenMackeral commented, "Last time they had an egg event, they gave a bunch of free super incubators and halved the egg hatching distance. This time there was absolutely nothing."

Another Redditor, Electrical-Adagio-88, detailed how frustrated they were with how short the Hisuian Discoveries event was. "I already don't like how short the event was, but it would be better if there was something worth hatching in the regular 7km or if they kept some of the Hisuian Pokémon in the rotation."

One hilarious Redditor poked fun at the developers when they commented on this Reddit post: "'You should've bought more incubators.' - Niantic." However, the consensus amongst Trainers is that they would've liked more opportunities to hatch Hisuian Pokémon in-game.

As of writing, Trainers are out in their numbers at the Pokémon GO Fest: Sapporo event, with Niantic releasing an accompanying Global Challenge activity for those not in attendance. It would be intriguing whether the developer listened to their player base and reintroduced Hisuian Pokémon eggs back to the pool.
