Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has been unbanned in India after a long time, and the fans are more hyped than ever. The game will be released once again for a trial period of three months, and if Krafton succeeds in abiding by the laws of the Indian government, it will stay permanently. 

"As a responsible South Korean company that abides by the law, has put in place several measures to ensure compliance to all Indian laws," Krafton stated in the official announcement of BGMI's return. Players will be able to download BGMI from Google Play Store and Apple App Store; however, if you are facing any issues, you can download and install it using APK and OBB files on Android devices.

Before moving forward, it's important to note that the Battlegrounds Mobile India APK file weighs around 75 MB, whereas the OBB file size is about 630 MB. Therefore, you must make sure that their device has enough storage before downloading the files.

Once you fulfill the requirements, here are the steps to download and install it.

  1. Download the Battlegrounds Mobile India BGMI APK file from the above links.
  2. Launch the file manager and install the game's APK file.
  3. If you haven't enabled the installation of apps from unknown sources, then do so by navigating to Settings > Safety and Privacy> Install apps from Unknown Sources.
  4. Once the APK is installed, launch Battlegrounds Mobile India, and it will start downloading the OBB file. It might take 5-10 minutes, depending on the internet speed. 
  5. After that, it will download a few more data files; once done, you can log into the game.

You will not be able to play BGMI at the moment as the servers have been taken down by Krafton to prepare them for a relaunch.

India has been one of the biggest markets for Krafton ever since the release of PUBG Mobile, and they want to continue investing in the country's esports ecosystem.
