South African tournament organizer Mettlestate, in collaboration with ASUS ROG, Intel, Vodacom World and Ubisoft, is hosting a massive tournament called ROG Invitational III. This tournament will see South African teams battle it out for their share of the R100,000 prize pool, which is massive in the country. How to watch ROG Invitational III
ROG Invitational III will be broadcasted on GINX Esports TV on all feeds. For South Africans, don't forget to check out DStv channel 127 for our GINX Esports TV broadcasts.

ROG Invitational III Schedule

Grand Finals schedule:
- Match 1 - Saturday, 26th June from 09:00 to 12:00
- Match 2 - Saturday, 26th June from 12:30 to 15:30
- Match 3 - Sunday, 27th June from 09:00 to 12:00
- Match 4 - Sunday, 27th June from 12:30 to 17:30
The final match is, of course, the finals of the ROG Invitational III. For those in the UK, simply subtract one hour from the starting time, for example, the final match will start at 11:30 and run until 16:30 in your time zone.
ROG Invitational III Format
The tournament begins with a group stage, which will feature a round-robin format. All matches are best-of-one, and the top two teams from each group will qualify for the elimination bracket. Seeding for the elimination bracket will be determined by the group stage placement.
Teams will play in the elimination bracket until the top four are decided. From there, teams will be placed into a new Grand Finals double-elimination bracket. Here, the matches will be best-of-three, with the exception of the finals where a champion will be crowned, which will be a best-of-five affair.
ROG Invitational III Prize Pool
For South African esports, the ROG Invitational III features a massive prize pool. The prize pool is R100,000 which is roughly £5,000.
Prize pool distribution:
- 1st place - R50,000
- 2nd place - R25,000
- 3rd place - R15,000
- 4th place - R10,000
Clearly, there's a whole lot on the line for the South African teams competing.
ROG Invitational III Teams
Top South African esports organizations are jumping into the ROG Invitational III tournament, with the likes of DNMK Esports, Bravado Gaming and Sinister5, to name but a few.
At the time of writing, the full team list isn't set. Registrations close on 16th May 2021, and since it is completely free to register for any South African-based team, the sky's the limit.
