The latest release from Psyonix, Rocket League Sideswipe is the brand-new mobile version of the iconic socCar game, Rocket League. After a brief beta period, the title is now available on Android and iOS.
Different from the normal 360 controls of Rocket League, the mobile version gameplay operates in a strictly side-controller mode. Providing a fast-paced arcade feel to the popular rocket-powered soccer.
Here's an overhead view of the new Rocket League Swideswipe Game Modes, now live on mobile devices.
How is Rocket League Sideswipe different?
As mentioned, Rocket League Sideswipe offers slightly different gameplay feel than traditional Rocket League. The mobile title is locked into a side-scrolling view, meaning the game is really two-dimensional, limiting certain movements.
However, players will still be able to boost and propel themselves through the air to make various types of plays. The natural arcade-like feel with touchscreen controls offers fast-paced gameplay and shorter match times.
Rocket League Sideswipe - Game modes
To keep the games quick and exciting, Rocket League Sideswipe matches are only two minutes long compared to the five minutes seen in the main game.
This makes it easier for players to get matches in on the go, after all, it is a mobile title.
