Ultimate Summit 4 - Schedule, format, prize pool, and more

2022 has been a great year for Smash tournaments despite lingering effects from the COVID-19 pandemic postponing important events such as the return of Genesis.

Far and away some of the most anticipated events in the community are the Summit invitationals. 2021 gave us a total of three, two for Melee and one for Ultimate, with 2022 set to receive its first one on 4th March.

If you're looking to wipe away the tears caused by Smash missing Evo, here's everything you need to know about UIltimate Summit 4, including players, prize pool, and how to watch.

Ultimate Summit 4 - Schedule and format

The event will start on 3rd March, with side-events that include Squad Strike and a crew battle, but the main matches are set to be played between the 4th and 7th March.

Most days activities kick off at 10:00 am PST (6:00 pm GMT). Take a look at the full schedule down below:

As for the format, it'll follow a similar one from the most recent Ultimate and Melee Summits, with an initial round-robin group stage to determine player positions during the gauntlet phase.

The 1st place of each group before the gauntlet stage will skip the second phase entirely, qualifying to the final bracket winners side. The rest will compete to see their final position on the bracket.

Finally, a 16-man double elimination bracket set to be played on Sunday will determine the winner of Ultimate Summit 4.
