How to Unlock the Death Star in LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga

Ships are one of many unlocks that you can pursue in LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga and only a few can reach the same recognition that the Death Star has. The iconic capital ship was among the deadliest weapons that the Empire had and you can use it yourself.

Before you can take the famous Empire weapon into space combat, you'll need to access the option to unlock the ship at all. The most obvious answer to that would be to destroy the Death Star through the main campaign missions. While that's still part of the equation, you'll need to go a step further and prevent any more plans from being used in a side quest.

LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga - Unlock the Death Star

The first step to unlocking the Death Star in LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga is to reach Coruscant. This can be done in any campaign where the Federal District is available. So technically, you can visit as early as Episode I to get the ball rolling.

With that step completed, the entirety of Episode IV will need to be completed. Without getting through the main campaign and taking down the Death Star in A New Hope, the next step can't be done. After all, you will be looking for additional plans, not the first ones.

After Episode IV's campaign is done, you can head back to Yavin 4, the location of the Great Temple and the Rebels. Like Coruscant, you can visit Yavin 4 in other Episodes, but you can't get this quest without the progress.

When you arrive at the Great Temple Hangar, head to the top floor and look for an engineer NPC that has a quest available for pickup. This quest will be called Operation Stardust and it will send players back to another mission on Coruscant.

Luckily the quest is fairly short and all you need to do is take two taxis to a Federal District location. At the designated spot, you will take on an AT-ST named the Plans Pilferer. Quickly dispatch the boss and head back to the same engineer on Yavin 4.

With the quest completed, you will be able to look through the holoprojector and find the Death Star available for purchase. The purchase is massive though, and 5,000,000 studs are needed to take the iconic capital ship for a spin.

And that's all there is to know about the Death Star! The ship can be used within Galaxy Free Play to easily destroy enemy ships in LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga.
