The highly anticipated "Secrets of Gloomrot" update for V Rising will be released on 17 May 2023 at noon UTC. This expansion is a significant part of Stunlock Studios' vision for the complete game, with two more major updates planned as part of the V Rising 2023 roadmap.

These updates aim to improve and refine the game leading up to its full release in 2024. It's worth noting that each patch aims to advance the game in unique ways to ensure that V Rising meets Stunlock Studios' vision.

V Rising Secrets of Gloomrot: All New Content

According to the V Rising Gloomrot web page, players can "enter a massive new zone with two unique areas twisted in the pursuit of cruel science." The new update will feature a complete revamp of Vardoran, including a new vineyard in Silverlight, a reimagined Cursed Forest, and several new points of interest in the Dunley Farmlands. In addition to the scorching sun, vampires must be careful of new weather hazards in V Rising: specifically, the "choking mist of the Cursed Forest" and "deadly lightning strikes in the hills of Gloomrot."

The V Rising Gloomrot update will also see brand-new trading hubs pop up, allowing players to exchange Silver Coins for goods with new NPC merchants (some of which are not friendly to vampires). Players will also be able to build multi-level castles with the latest update.
