Traveling the world of Salt and Sacrifice and exploring all its features and gameplay requires the player to find and use multiple upgrades and items. This will also make the game open up in terms of where you can go and the adventures you can set yourself on.
One of these items you can find is the grappling hook. This is the first upgrade you'll find and is arguably one of the most useful in terms of exploration. Today we'll show you exactly where to find the Grappling Hook in Salt and Sacrifice and how to get it.
Salt and Sacrifice grappling hook - What is the grappling hook
The grappling hook is an item you will receive at the beginning of the game, and without it, you won't be able to progress the game much further. Once you have received it, you will be able to grapple up to platforms and ledges.

Along with this, the grappling hook can also serve you in battle by offering you a chance to land critical hits on bosses. After breaking a boss's poise, you will see a hook point that allows you to grapple towards the enemy and deliver a critical hit. This can also be done for Mages during hunts to deliver critical hits.
Salt and Sacrifice grappling hook - location and how to get
To find the grappling hook, players need to head to Ashbourne Village by using the portal in the camp. From there, you can head left and take the bottom pathway to enter the cave.
Once you enter the cave, immediately drop down right to the bottom of the cave and take the path to the right. Once you have followed the path long enough you will have to defeat a boss, Uryks Necklace-of-Ears to progress further.
Once you defeat the boss, you will encounter two more mages as you head right through the cave. Once you have made it all the way to the end, you will find the only exit you can take at the bottom right of the cave.
Once you go inside, you will be in a green-lit cavern that only has one path you can follow downwards. At the end of the cavern, you will eventually reach the corpse of the long-dead inquisitor. Looting his body will net you the grappling hook.
Now you have the grappling hook and can make your journey through the Western frontier. Remember you need to be facing the direction you want to grapple and you'll be good to go. And that's everything you need to know about the grappling hook and where to find it in Salt and Sacrifice.
