Limited-time events are nothing new in Riot Games; League of Legends, Valorant, Teamfight Tactics, anyone you name has had, at times, a host of new content based around a set theme or narrative drive.
But until now, these events have been confined to the games they were originally conceived for, but a brand new event revealed in its totally today, called Sentinels of Light, marks the first time that each of Riot's titles will feature content around the same story point.
That story being the battle between Viego, the Ruined King, and the Sentinels, a story which has been brewing in League of Legends and now has a presence in Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, and Valorant with the latter getting two brand new skin lines.
Riot Game's mobile MOBA, League of Legends: Wild Rift, is also getting in on the action and the developers are promising that the Sentinels of Light event is the "most ambitious" ever seen in the game's short life.
All-in-all the event will see the introduction of three new champions, with one being Akshan, the first champion to be released in League of Legends and Wild Rift at the same time.
