YouTube star, Marques Brownlee, known for his hardware reviews and news, recently interviewed fellow YouTuber Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson. During the interview, MrBeast teased that his next big project would be bigger than his recreation of the Netflix Original Series "Squid Game" but will take roughly six months to produce.
MrBeast's Squid Game video racked up roughly 48 million views in a little less than 24 hours after premiering on 24th November and has since gone on to accumulate over 177 million views to date. The video project triumphed as MrBeast's most successful video and even earned him the praise of Hwang-Dong-hyuk, the creator of the Korean survival drama.
However, despite the monumental success, MrBeast is not done yet and is planning an even bigger project next year.
MrBeast teases next project will be "bigger than Squid Game"
On 21st December, fellow YouTube star Marques Brownlee asked MrBeast if there was a new project he was planning that could supersede the Squid Game video's success. "Like something with a super-high-end production that you've been dreaming of making that you can't wait to do," Marques Brownlee added.
MrBeast responded by saying that he does, "So, basically, I wanna take everything that I learned in Squid Game, and I want to apply it to this other idea." The YouTube star then proceeded to make a joke, saying, "but if I told you, I legit would have to kill you."
Despite the warning, MrBeast proceeded to tell Marques Brownlee anyway; however, sadly, the entire segment was censored so that we couldn't hear anything.
After hearing MrBeast's plan, Marques Brownlee said that the video would be an "instant viral hit" and that there was "no question about it." MrBeast further added that it could be "bigger than Squid Game," and Marques agreed, saying, "Yeah, it depends on when you do it, but yes."
Closing the segment, MrBeast said that the project would take roughly six months to film, which means we could expect the video to go live halfway through next year.
Unfortunately, there are no further details about MrBeast's next big project beyond the censored conversation; however, if we know anything from previous MrBeast videos, he will undoubtedly drop hints on social media.
