Korean streamer and OnlyFans model, Velvet_7 (also known as "Velvet" or "Velvet Tube") is popular for her IRL and ASMR vlogs, and League of Legends gameplay. Despite having nearly 200,000 followers on Twitch, Velvet has not streamed on the platform for over a year.
This follows after she was mistakenly banned several times by the streaming platform for various reasons. To this day, Twitch has not restored her account, even after apologizing for their accidental ban of her channel multiple times.
Velvet reveals Twitch's “mistake” bans
On the 12th of July, Velvet took to Twitter to share several accounts where Twitch accidentally banned her. In the tweet, she said that she was banned “3 times” by Twitch “by their own mistake”, but remains banned from the streaming platform to this day.
I got banned 3 times from twitch by their own mistake and still banned now. I know I got banned by my own mistake before but last 3 ban was ridiculous. It's been more than a year now... @TwitchSupport@Twitchpic.twitter.com/jGNS9nDkOE

She further added by saying: “I know I got banned by my own mistake before, but [the] last 3 bans [were] ridiculous. It’s been more than a year now”.
In the tweet, Velvet attached snaps of emails on three separate occasions in which the Twitch Moderation team apologized for her account suspension. “Your account was suspended or blocked due to a mistake on our part”, the emails all read.
I got banned on twitch. I appealed my suspension. These are the outfits I wear on streams on June. I always wore 2 bras and 2 protection pants to prevent any accidents. Also when I did belly dance I didnt wear traditional belly dance outfit to be careful. @TwitchSupport@Twitchpic.twitter.com/ekqDVLd6Uc

Velvet has been banned on several occasions in the past. In June last year, she tweeted that Twitch banned for “sharing or engaging in sexually suggestive content or activities”. In the tweet, she showed the outfits she typically wears and said: “I always wear 2 bras and 2 protection pants to prevent any accidents.”
Some fans have criticized Twitch’s unfairness toward Velvet after Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa and Jenelle “Indiefoxx” Dagres only received 3 days bans for what many would consider having been substantially more provocative content.
Twitch’s failure to rescind Velvet’s ban and reinstate her account also contradicts their more recent stance that “being sexy is not against [their] rules”. Despite Velvet’s ban having already trended the #FreeVelvet hashtag on social media, it seems as though Twitch has been deaf to the matter.
We’ll have to wait and see if Twitch will restore Velvet’s account. In the meantime, Velvet will continue to stream on YouTube so fans will still be able to get their regular fix.
