Halloween is in full swing as the festivities have begun in The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO)’s annual seasonal event, the Witches Festival. This event will see players acquiring plenty of spooky rewards like Plunder Skulls and Event Tickets while gaining a 100% XP boost for its duration from all activities.

If you’re new to ESO, there’s an introductory quest required to be completed to obtain the Witchmother’s Whistle that lets you summon the cauldron anywhere in Tamriel, except in Cyrodiil. We’ve detailed in this bewitching guide how to complete the Witchmother's Bargain quest for the Witches Festival in ESO.

How To Complete The Witchmother's Bargain Quest In ESO

The Witchmother's Bargain is the introductory quest for players to complete to access the Witches Festival and acquire the event-exclusive item, the Witchmother's Whistle. This quest is free from the Crown Store as players are only required to complete it once, as they won't have to redo it if previously completed in past events to get the item added to the Inventory.

Navigate to the Crown Store in-game and scroll to the Featured tab, where players should find this quest. Once purchased, the quest will immediately be triggered, and they can begin completing each of the quest objectives before summoning the Witchmother's Cauldron, but there is another way of starting this quest.

Depending on which Alliance players have opted to join, they can locate the Crow Caller and interact with them, who are situated at Olyve's Brewery in one of the following locations:

  • Aldmeri Dominion: Olyve's Brewery near the Mehrunes' Spite delve in Auridon
    • Fast travel to the Greenwater Wayshrine
  • Daggerfall Covenant: Olyve's Brewery in Glenumbra
    • Fast travel to the Crosswych Wayshrine
  • Ebonheart Pact: Olyve's Brewery near the Steamlake Encampment in Stonefalls
    • Fast travel to the Ashen Road Wayshrine

Regardless of how players trigger this quest, they must proceed with the quest by completing the following objectives:

  1. Talk to Witchmother Olyve
  2. Acquire a Pumpkin
  3. Gather some guts
  4. Gather an Essence of Death
  5. Talk to Witchmother Olyve inside Olyve's Brewery

As players must defeat a boss within any Delve to acquire the Essence of Death, we advise picking up the Undaunted Daily Delve Quest from Bolgrul, who can be found at any Alliance Undaunted Enclave. This will give players the Undaunted Daily Delve Quest to complete, which, once the boss is defeated, they can acquire the Essence of Death.

Pumpkins can be acquired from grocers throughout Tamriel for 150 Gold each, and guts are lootable items obtained from tiny animals and fleshy undead creatures. Once they've completed the Undaunted Daily Delve Quest, return to Bolgrul to turn in the quest and receive the rewards before speaking with Witchmother Olyve at Olyve's Brewery.

Turn in the reagents for which combining them produces the Witchmother's Brew as she advises that they are to drink the concoction. Players can, therefore, complete the Witchmother's Bargain quest, in which they'll receive the Witchmother's Whistle, which is used to summon the cauldron where consuming the brew will let them change their appearance and get the 100% XP gain boost.
