Navigating the treacherous worlds of Conan Exiles alone can be daunting as enemy camps, sorcerers, and deadly animals await to make you their prey. While Thralls can be effective allies against these threats, taming an animal companion such as a powerful Bear can be a game-changer.
To add a Bear to your arsenal of pets, you'll need to know where to find a Bear Cub in Conan Exiles. In this comprehensive guide, we'll show you how to find a Bear Cub and teach you how to tame one of the game's most formidable creatures to accompany you on your adventures in the Age of Sorcery.
How To Find Bear Cub In Conan Exiles
The bear is the most powerful animal in Conan Exiles, so naturally, players will want to tame this beast as their pet. These animals are predominantly found in the Tundra biome but is a haven for more dangerous animals like Sabertooth, Mammoths, and Boars.
This makes locating Bears and their Bear Cubs relatively straightforward, as they’re often spotted in groups throughout The Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah. We’ve listed below all known locations where to find Bear Cubs in Conan Exiles:
- Isle Of Siptah:
- Refuge of the Gremlins (H7)
- The Haunted Wreck (L7/8)
- Den of the Wolf-brothers (M8)
- Bahk-hotep’s Refuge (N12)
- The Gash (O12)
- The Exiled Lands:
- Riversend (C9)
- Ravaged Burrows (C11)
- Telith’s Island (H8)
Once you’ve located the group, wait for the Bear Cub to stray away before adding it to your Inventory by interacting with it. The cub can then be placed in an Animla Pen, by which the blueprint can be received after learning the Apprentice Tamer Knowledge.
You’ll also receive other blueprints and recipes for Shadespiced food items, for which the latter will be used to cook and feed your pets during the taming process. You will need to craft the Feed Box to feed the Bear Cub, or it could turn into a carcass should you not provide it with food.
To gain the most experience taming the Bear Cub in Conan Exiles, cook 25 Exotic Fish and one Shadebloom Flower to make Shadespiced Succulent Fish receive 938 EXP. The taming process will take around four hours, and you’ll get a normal Bear or the Greater Bear variant.
