Conan Exiles Wolf Cub - Location & How To Get

Conan Exiles: Age of Sorcery has many wild and dangerous animals you can tame and then use to your advantage, including the Wolf Cub. These creatures can be beneficial as you explore the Exiled Lands because they are loyal and can attack nearby enemies.

How To Get Wolf Cubs In Conan Exiles

There are many reasons why you might want pets in Conan Exiles: Age of Sorcery. For example, our previous guide on how to get Rocknose Egg explained how these creatures could provide you with materials like Stone, Ironstone, and possibly Goldstone if they are evolved correctly.

Likewise, a Wolf Cub can be a loyal companion or a fierce guardian in Conan Exiles. When given enough time, a Wolf Cub can mature into a Wolf and a Greater Wolf, which has two variants (explained later).

You can find Wolf Cubs in the Highlands Area of Conan Exiles. More specifically, you can locate them in a small cave below the Skyholme Ruins in D10. To get the Wolf Cub, you can venture into the cave to retrieve one or wait for it to leave the cave.

Regardless of what you do, once you have obtained a Wolf Cub, you can place it in an Animal Pen and feed it raw meat to begin maturing it. It will take 6 hours for your Wolf Cub to grow into a Wolf.

You will need to feed it raw meat like Exquisite Meat and Feral Flesh; however, if you instead give your Wolf Cub Shadespiced Corrupted Flesh and Shadespiced FattyMeat, it will shorten the maturation process to only 4 hours. 

As mentioned previously, a Wolf Cub can mature into 1 of 2 variants: Greater Wolf Variant A or the Pictish Wolf. You can increase your chances of getting Greater Wolf A by giving the Wolf Cub Shadespiced Perfect Cut of Meat and Shadespiced Raw Tough Meat. 

To craft the Pictish Wolf, you first need to get the Greater Wolf Variant A. Next, you will need to feed it Totemic Fodder. If you don't know what this is, you can craft it using Gruel, Blood, and Bone. This dish can be made at an Alchemist Bench or Improved Alchemist Bench.

Importantly: To make Pictish Wolf, you will need a newly crafted Greater Wolf and the Totemic Fodder in your inventory.The Great Wolf needs to be a fresh spawn out of the Animal Pen and should not be deployed. If you use Totemic Fodder on the Greater Wolf after deployment, the animal will stop eating and no longer produce items.
