Dead by Daylight's partnership with the iconic horror game franchise Resident Evil has resulted in some pretty incredible things being added to the former game, from The Nemesis to Jill Valentine to Leon Kennedy.
While many players love the Raccoon City Police Department map that came with the DLC due to its accuracy to the original, others believe it's too large and too challenging to play on for both killers and survivors.
The map is the largest in the game and looks almost identical to Resident Evil 2's Raccoon City Police Department details.
During the 6th anniversary stream, developers announced that Raccoon City Police Department would see changes. In this article, we'll go over exactly what those changes may be according to recent leaks.
Dead By Daylight Racoon City Police Department Map Rework
The Racoon City Police Department map was added to Dead by Daylight with the 2021 Resident Evil chapter. Many fans have complained since then about its size and playability while praising its accuracy to the original map in Resident Evil 2.

On 2nd August 2022, DBDLeaks posted on Twitter that many fans had noticed that in the code for today's hotfix bugfix patch, the Raccoon City Police Department map will be renamed to "Raccoon City Police Department - East Wing."
This suggests that developers may be planning on making the map smaller overall, only including the east wing of the police department.
On the other hand, they could split the maps up into multiple maps in the same realm. Most other Dead by Daylight Realms feature multiple versions of one map with different layouts. In other words, we could see the east wing and west wing as separate maps.
Either way, changes to Raccoon City Police Department are certainly coming. Stay tuned for more information as it comes to light.
