Digimon Survive - How To Digivolve Digital Monsters

Bandai Namco's latest visual RPG, Digimon Survive, is the latest craze for all the right reasons. The game features a rich visual novel experience, tactical combat gameplay, and over 100 Digital Monsters and Digivolutions that breathe new life into the beloved anime series.

As you explore the deep, dark storyline of Digimon Survive, you'll eventually need to evolve your Digital Monsters. So, look no further if you're wondering how to Digivolve in Digimon Survive. This guide explains how to unlock powerful Champion-level Digital Monsters in Digimon Survive.

How to Digivolve in Digimon Survive

Digivolution is not available to players at the start of the game and is only unlocked toward the end of Part 1 when Agumon Digivolves for the first time. Also, to Digivolve your Digital Monsters from Rookie to Champion, you will need to use the Mature Enlightenment Slab.

You can find this item throughout the story (in Shrines or Temples) in Digimon Survive; however, you can also get them after completing certain boss fights. The in-game description for the Mature Enlightenment Slab reads: "Evolves a Free Monster to Champion."

You can use these to Digivolve unpartnered (or Free) Digital Monsters in Digimon Survive; these include those you befriend. Unfortunately, once Digivolved, you cannot Devolve any of them back to their Rookie forms.

Once you have one in your possession, open your Stats menu and select the Digital Monster you want to evolve. Next, navigate to the Evolution tab of the Stats menu, and select a Digivolution. Afterward, a prompt will open asking if you want to proceed using the Mature Enlightenment Slab to Digivolve your chosen Digital Monster. Select Yes.

Congratulations, you have successfully Digivolved your Digital Monster. However, note that you cannot use the Mature Enlightenment Slab to evolve your Champion level Digimon into its Ultimate form. Instead, you must find a different item, Perfect Enlightenment Slabs. The same principle presumably applies to more advanced Digivolutions with Ultimate Enlightenment Slabs needed to evolve from Ultimate to Mega Digimon form.

The digivolution process is divided into four main phases or forms, which you need to use the Enlightenment Slabs to evolve the Digimon: Rookie -> Champion -> Ultimate -> Mega Digimon.
