Fall Guys Guide: How to win at Team Tail Tag

Now that Fall Guys has finally released, over 1.5 million players have entered the fight for first place in the wacky battle royale-style game. Playing a series of minigames with the aim to be the last jellybean standing at the end of it all, there’s a lot to learn if you want to be the best. Here’s how to win at Team Tail Tag.

How to win Team Tail Tag

The object of Team Tail Tag is simple: be the team with the most tails once the timer runs out. Of course, your fate will ultimately be in the hands of your team during this game, but you can help them out by holding on to a tail of your own.

Some players will automatically start with a tail, others need to find one on an opposing player. If you don’t have a tail, ideally target one from the team that currently has the fewest tails in their possession. Remember, it’s not about winning in this team game, instead, it’s about not coming last.

Use your grab when behind a player to snatch their tail, and then utilise the moving floor section to speed away from the competition. Staying on this floor is a good way to keep moving, and avoid being targeted by other Fall Guys.

Another good strategy, if the floor is looking a little too crowded for your liking, is to find the spinning hammer on the stage’s edge. If you can dash past the spinning head of the hammer, you won’t be hit by the handle section and you can be temporarily protected from those who are looking for an opportunity to steal your tail.

Lastly, don’t forget that you can perform a dive to get that extra distance, possibly being the difference between grabbing a player’s tail and chasing them endlessly. Missing will slow you down, however, so be prepared to take a great risk when using this technique. And don’t forget, this is a team event! Grabbing a passing player and holding them for a teammate is a valid strategy. You’re all in this together.

Quick Tips

  • Wait around the corner unseen, ready to grab tails from players on the conveyer belt
  • Trying to keep out of sight with a tail rarely works, stay on the move!
  • Snatch tails from the team with the least points, if possible
