Twitch Rivals Killer Instinct Lives: Schedule, players, format, prize pool, and how to watch

Killer Instinct Lives is the latest Twitch Rivals tournament, presented by Maximilian Dood, a popular Twitch FGC streamer and content producer.

If you an old school fighting games fan and you are feeling nostalgic for some retro fighting game action, then this event is the tournament you will not want to miss!

"Throughout the broadcast, KI Lives will be focusing on celebrating the history of Killer Instinct through high-level competition and special vignettes covering the game’s development and community," reads the announcement.

And what better way to celebrate a fighting game than with an epic tournament and top-tier players! And that's exactly what Killer Instinct Lives is about.

Players will be competing in Killer Instinct (2013) and various guests will talk about the history of the series, which started back in 1994 when the original Killer Instinct was released, initially exclusively in arcades.

The event will be held on the 1st of February, with check-in starting at 3 pm PT/ 6 pm ET, while the tournament starts at 4 pm PT/ 7 pm ET.

• Double-Elimination Bracket w/ Grand Finals Reset
• Best-of-3 Games until Winners Finals, Losers Finals, and Grand Finals

Character Selection

• The double-blind pick is enacted if either player requests it
• Players select their character

After each game

• Winning player must keep their character
• Losing player may change their character
