The Genshin Impact 2.3 update welcomed the arrival of Geo user Arataki Itto and added yet another unique character to the game's growing roster. While many players are using their Wishes on his Character Event Wish banner and are hopeful of acquiring the 5-star character, there have also been rumours that one of his associates could be joining the fold.

Eagle-eyed fans have spotted mentions of Kuki Shinobu in both Itto and Sayu's voice lines, but what does this all mean? We've sifted through all the rumours and leaks to find everything you need to know regarding this character in Genshin Impact.

Who is Kuki Shinobu in Genshin Impact?

According to one source, Kuki Shinobu is the deputy of the Arataki Gang, headed by Itto. The source also claims that Kuki has bailed Itto out of jail on several occasions. Moreover, if you have played Itto's story quest, this information seems convincing that we may see Shinobu bail Itto out of jail once again.

Kuki Shinobu is more level-headed and responsible than Itto, who is charismatic and chaotic. Therefore, some could say that Kuki Shinobu is the true leader of the Arataki Gang instead of Itto.

During your time in Inazuma, a conversation with NPC Doushin Uesugi possibly referred to Shinobu while discussing the rematch between Itto and Kujou Sara, saying, "Anyway, the duel didn't happen in the end. Arataki was dragged away by some masked lady... I just hope that Madam Sara won't be affected by this..."

Not only does this speculate that she is wearing a mask, but it appears that she will have some importance in the feud between Itto and Kujou Sara.

In case you're wondering what Kuki Shinobu will look like, Genshin Impact source's suspect that she could either be featured with a teenage female model similar to Sucrose and Yanfei or a child model like Qiqi and Sayu.

What will be Kuki Shinobu's playstyle and element?

While it doesn't seem likely that the developer will use a child model for Shinobu, there is a strong suspicion that Shinobu could be a 4-star character. Additionally, unidentified leaks and speculation regarding her playstyle suggest that she will be an Electro user; however, there is no word on what weapon she'll likely wield.

Many fans are speculating that Shinobu has the potential of being an explosive DPS character, bearing in mind that she is the Arataki Gang's deputy, and Itto himself wouldn't allow anyone weak to mishandle the gang's affairs.

Other sources suggest that she could feature on Yae Miko's Character Event Wish banner, meaning Kuki Shinobu's release date may be sooner than anticipated.

The introduction of the Character Event Wish-2 banner style allows the developer to add more characters to the game, giving players more chances to make Wishes for either 5-star or 4-star characters. With the Genshin Impact 2.5 update still some time away and nothing confirmed about Shinobu's gameplay yet, we will want to monitor it for future leaks.
