Genshin Impact's Itto, Kazuha hinted at possible banner re-runs

After HoYoverse introduced the Character Event Wish-2 banner mechanic with the 2.3 update in November 2021, this allowed multiple characters to receive banner re-runs for Travelers to get another chance to obtain. In contrast, the banner type has seen some success, with Zhongli, Xiao, Raiden Shogun, and Kamisato Ayaka having received re-runs since the launch of the banner type.

Various sources have teased multiple characters to appear in forthcoming banners in subsequent updates. Recently, the Geo character, Arataki Itto and the Anemo character, Kaedehara Kazuha, have been rumoured to be appearing soon in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact leaks suggest Itto, Kazuha get banner re-run

There's been speculation following Yelan and Kuki Shinobu's inclusion in the game of various characters possibly getting re-runs sometime soon. While one character, Arataki Itto, is a pretty obvious pick, another character has been long-rumoured to make another appearance.

Kaedehara Kazuha is a name that has appeared multiple times by various sources and was previously reported to receive a banner re-run in the current 2.6 update. Unfortunately for Kazuha mains, that honour went to the lovable bard, Venti, which will take place in the latter half of the update.

As for when Kazuha is likely to receive an update, one source originally stated that it might happen as soon as the 2.8 update. This is due to Itto likely getting a banner re-run in the second half of the 2.7 update alongside Yelan and possibly Kuki Shinobu.

Posted to the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit, a thread detailed some "questionable" reports of Itto and Kazuha receiving banner re-runs. Nevertheless, this was later reported by Genshin Impact source, SaveYourPrimos, who revealed that the previous reports on a Kazuha re-run were slightly misleading.

Their original tweet was deleted, which later clarified the misinformation contained in the deleted tweet. Another Genshin Impact source, Ubatcha, revealed in December 2021 that should Kazuha receive a banner re-run, it would likely be tied to a possible "dedicated story" event in the same update. Whether this could be the first chapter of his Story Quest or a potential Hangout Event has yet to be determined.

With Kazuha's re-run up in the air, there haven't been any reports that ruled out Itto getting a re-run in the 2.7 update. This also lines up with leaks suggesting that Itto will be travelling to Liyue to host a music festival event in the update, as mentioned above.

There hasn't been much information on the event other than being hosted by Itto and the Arataki Gang. We'll continue to follow all leaks regarding the respective banner re-runs once more information becomes available.
