Genshin Impact Kazuha guide: Weapons, artifacts, tips, and more

The update 1.6 of Genshin Impact “Midsummer Island Adventure” is now entering Phase II, as one of the hardest challenges is currently underway with the "Legend of the Vagabond Sword" event, and with a lot of content still to be released in the next few weeks.

As players say their farewells to the rerun of Klee’s banner (and with it, the last chance to get her in a long time), the main course of the update is about to arrive as, for the first time, a character from the long-awaited Inazuma region will join the roster of playable adventurers within miHoYo’s RPG.

So with that said, it’s time to take a deeper look into Kaedehara Kazuha, the newest arrival to Genshin Impact, along with the best options for his weapon and artifacts comp, and even some tips to handle and increase his power on the battlefield.

Kaedahara Kazuha - Background and origins

Kaedahara Kazuha is by far one of the most mysterious characters to be added into Genshin Impact, hailing from the Electro nation of Inazuma, where he was part of the Kaedehara, a famed samurai clan known for having some of the most fearless and skilled warriors.

As time passed, Kazuha's desire to live a normal life outside the nobility of his clan forced him into an unexpected decision, a tragic event would mark him for life as he is now looked like a criminal within Inazuma, so Kazuha himself had to go into exile beyond the archipelago.

Afterwards, Kazuha became a wanderer travelling across the mountains, lakes, and beaches, roaming the continent of Teyvat, a journey that ended up leading to Liyue, the domains of the Geo Archon, where he settled and lives now as a trainee sailor in the Crux Fleet.

While his spirit as a warrior shows up when the situation warrants it, Kazuha is known for his gentle and carefree soul, as he enjoys reciting poetry while he rests on a warm rock soaked by the mid-afternoon sun, spending his time the way he always wanted to, relaxed and free from the burdens of his past.

Kaedahara Kazuha - Abilities

His normal attack, Garyuu Bladework, allows Kazuha to perform up to five consecutive strikes, while with his charged attack, he can consume Stamina to do two rapid sword swings.

With his elemental skill, Chiyahaburu, Kazuha can unleash a secret technique that pulls objects and opponents towards his position, launching them all into an area while dealing Anemo DMG, and lifting Kazuha into the air.

Chiyahaburu can both be used in mid-air, and be charged to have a larger AoE and greater Anemo DMG.

While in mid-air after using Chiyahaburu, Kazuha can make a special plunging attack known as Midare Ranzan, which will convert his Plunging DMG stat into Anemo DMG, and create a small wind tunnel which pulls everything around.

Finally with his elemental burst, Kazuha Slash, Kazuha will make a powerful single slash striking every enemy around him and leaving a field named “Autumn Whirlwind”, that periodically deals Anemo DMG to opponents within its range.

Kaedahara Kazuha - Best weapons

Freedom-Sworn

Starting with the best 5-star weapon for him, the arrival of Kazuha will bring into the game his signature sword known as the Freedom-Sworn, a powerful blade that drastically enhances his Elemental power.

This new weapon is part of the "Millennial Movement" that wanders amidst the winds of Mondstadt. Thanks to its passive this sword can increase DMG, and when the character wielding this weapon triggers Elemental Reactions, they will gain a Sigil of Rebellion.

When having two of these, all of them will be consumed to obtain the “Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance” effect for 12 seconds, which increases Normal, Charged and Plunging Attack DMG by 16/20/24/28/32% and increases ATK by 20/25/30/35/40%.

Skyward Blade

This celestial weapon is one of the best for any character that depends a lot on their elemental abilities, being based on the power of Stormterror.

The Skyward Blade increases the CRIT Rate by 4/5/6/7/8%, however its greatest benefit comes from using your Elemental Burst, since doing so this sword will grant you 10% Movement SPD and ATK SPD, in addition to increasing the damage of normal and charged attacks based on 20% of your current ATK.

Iron Sting

This 4-star Sword is an exotic long-bladed rapier that somehow found its way into Liyue via foreign traders, being a light, agile, and sharp weapon. As the Iron Sting is available via Crafting, this can be one of the best options for those who don’t want to spend a single penny finding a good and powerful item.

Using Elemental Mastery as its base, this sword can increase all DMG by 6/7.5/9/10.5/12% for six seconds, everytime you deal Elemental DMG. The Iron Sting can be crafted with the blacksmith by collecting a Northlander Sword Billet, 50 Crystal Chunks, and 50 White Iron Chunks.

The Black Sword

In case you want to be more focused on DPS, this malicious, bloodthirsty weapon lets you take down any enemy around you without using your elemental abilities, thanks to its excellent offensive and regeneration bonuses.

To begin, this sword increases the power of your normal and charged attacks by 20%, while you can also recover 60% of your current ATK in HP, when making a critical hit. This effect can only be activated every 5 seconds.

Kaedahara Kazuha - Best artifacts and stats

Viridescent Venerer

As the main choice for his artifacts, we recommend the Viridescent Venerer set, as it will considerably increase the power of your Elemental skills by giving you a 15% Anemo DMG Bonus.

If you manage to get four pieces of this set, it will increase Swirl DMG by 60% and decrease your opponent’s Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40% for ten seconds.

If you don’t have all pieces of it, you can combine it with the Gladiator's Finale set, which likewise increases your ATK by 18%.

Pale Flame

As a second option, you can carry one of the latest introductions in Update 1.5, the Pale Flame set, as it will power up your physical attacks by 25% when having 2 pieces of it.

With four pieces, whenever your Elemental Skill hits an opponent, your ATK will be increased by 9% for seven seconds. This effect stacks up to 3 times and can be triggered once every 0.3 seconds. Once 3 stacks are reached, the 2-set effect will also be increased by 100%.

Recommended team composition

Kazuha has a wide variety of options, as he can be used both as a DPS dealer and as a support character, making him a flexible swordsman with different fighting styles and approaches.

In order to take advantage of his skills and the Elemental Reactions you can create, we recommend pairing him along with the teammates listed below:

And that’s all we gotta share with you about Kazuha. Remember, he will only be available from 29th June to 20th July in his own banner “Leaves in the Wind”, so try to save as many Primogems as you can if you want to get your hands on this powerful Anemo ronin.
