Genshin Impact Cinnabar Spindle: How to get, stats and ascension materials

Genshin Impact’s 2.3 update introduced players to a variety of weapons for players to acquire and learn how to master. The Cinnabar Spindle is such a weapon, however, it can be acquired for free by participating in the update’s limited-time event.

In this guide, we’ll detail everything you need to know about the Cinnabar Spindle, its stats, ascension materials and how one can get the weapon.

What is the Cinnabar Spindle?

The Cinnabar Spindle is a 4-star sword that became available in the latest Genshin Impact 2.3 update. According to its official description, the Cinnabar Spindle is created “from materials that do not belong in this world”.

Cinnabar Spindle stats & ability

• Rarity: 4-star
• ATK: 41-454
• Secondary Stat: 15% – 69.0% DEF

The weapon's passive (Special Ability), Spotless Heart, will see the Elemental Skill DMG be increased by 40% of the wielder’s DEF stats. This effect is activated every 1.5 seconds with a cooldown of 0,1 seconds once the Elemental Skill DMG has been dealt.

As the weapon requires Alkahest as its Refinement Material, the Elemental Skill DMG can see an increase of up to 80% of DEF stats once reaching Refine Level 5.

Alkahest can be exchanged through the Event Shop with Snowstrider Emblems or by earning them by completing various challenges during the event.

The weapon can be best used in the hands of Albedo largely thanks to his incredible Elemental Skill, making him the perfect sub-DPS or Burst Carry party member.

Furthermore, Albedo is the only current Genshin character that wields a sword whilst scaling DEF stats.

How to get the Cinnabar Spindle

This weapon can only be obtained through the limited-time event, Shadows Amidst Snowstorms, which will run between 25th November 2021 and 13th December 2021. As such, players will be tasked to build snowmen by collecting materials needed from various Trials or exchanging materials with friends.
