Special Race Series removed from GTA Online: Everything you need to know

A recent update to GTA Online saw Rockstar remove multiple Adversary modes from the title. The removal was in an effort to make room for upcoming content, which we should know more about soon.

Special Race Series was an alternative race mode that could only be completed using special vehicles. So far, the reactions from GTA Online Players seem to be mixed about the removal of the racing mode.

Here's all the latest on the news wire about the Special Race Series removed from GTA Online.

GTA Online removes Special Race Series

Featured in a GTA Online update that brought multiple new racing modes to the game, the Special Race Series featured some reality-defying maps for players to enjoy. The racing also included special vehicles as well: The Blazer Aqua, Deluxo, Rocket Voltic, Ruiner 2000, Stromberg, and Thruster.

In addition to the unique gameplay, Special Race Series was a popular mode due to the frequent Daily Objective "Participate in a Special Race Series." Daily Objectives earn players cash as well as RP in GTA Online and are important for newer players.

In total there were 30 different races in the Special Race Series, divided up between the six different vehicles. It's unclear at the moment what the Special Race Series will be replaced with, as well as if the popular mode could return in the future.
