Halo Infinite leaks suggest early multiplayer release in November

Spartans may possibly get to play Halo Infinite multiplayer earlier than expected, according to rumours.
Halo Infinite leaks suggest early multiplayer release in November

Halo Infinite is currently slated for release on 8th December 2021 for its paid campaign and the free-to-play multiplayer modes. However, rumours circulating the internet suggest that Halo Infinite multiplayer may be arriving this month.

Both Xbox and developer, 343 Industries, have yet to dismiss or confirm whether the rumours are true. The rumoured date for the launch of Halo Infinite multiplayer coincides with the 20th Anniversary of Halo: Combat Evolved, making the rumours almost too good to be true.

Halo Infinite to go live on Halo: CE anniversary

According to a Tweet from HaloDotApi, it claimed that the Halo Infinite multiplayer is rumoured to be released on 15th November 2021. This was then pushed in a Tweet by a notable insider, Nate the Hate, “confirming” the release date of Halo Infinite multiplayer.

What made things more interesting was when another insider, Adam Fairclough, posted datamined information from the Xbox Store hinting at the rumoured release date. However, it does reveal that the listing has labelled the date as “PreOrderRelease” which may suggest the early release of Halo Infinite multiplayer as a possible early access release.

As such, Xbox and 343 Industries won’t necessarily be losing money by pushing up the release of Halo Infinite multiplayer a few weeks early. They still have its paid campaign mode releasing in December together with the cumulative sales made thus far through pre-orders.

While it’s hard to confirm whether information from these sources is reliable, the argument of releasing the multiplayer on Halo: CE’s monumental anniversary is compelling. As Halo: CE became the flagship game that launched the Xbox brand 20 years ago, it was also attributed to being one of the most prolific shooters in gaming history.
