Tingyun is a 4-Star support character. She excels at buffing DPS units in order to help them deal more damage. As such, players will typically want to run Tingyun with as much Speed as possible in order to keep her churning out buffs as optimally as she can. 

Additionally, because Tingyun's buff scales with her ATK, investing in this stat is also highly recommended. 

Honkai: Star Rail Tingyun Abilities

• Dislodged (Basic ATK): Deals 60% of Tingyun's ATK as Lightning DMG to a target enemy.
• Soothing Melody (Skill): Increases the ATK of a single ally by 25%, up to a value no greater than 15% of Tingyun's current ATK, and Bleses the ally. The Blessed ally deals additional Lightning DMG equal to 20% of their ATK when hitting enemies for 3 turns. Bless is only effective on the most recent receiver of Tingyun's Skill. 
• Ritual of the Auspicious Cloud (Ultimate): Regenerates 50 Energy for a target ally and increases the target's DMG by 20% for 3 turn(s).
• Violet Sparknado (Talent): Upon hitting the enemy, Tingyun deals extra Lightning DMG equal to 30% of the ATK of the Blessed character. 
• Gentle Breeze (Technique): Tingyun immediately regenerates 50 Energy upon using her Technique. 

Honkai: Star Rail Tingyun Best Light Cones

The best Light Cone for Tingyun in Honkai: Star Rail is Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds. This Light Cone has great synergy with Harmony Path characters. 

Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds: One of the following effects is applied randomly at the start of combat and whenever Tingyun takes action: Increase all allies' ATK by 10%, increase all allies' CRIT DMG by 12%, or increase all allies' Energy Restoration Rate by 6%. The applied effect cannot be identical to the last effect applied and will replace the previous effect. The applied effect will be removed when Tingyun has been knocked down.
