Hassian doesn't show his emotions to anyone except when expressing his animosity towards Kenli for introducing chapaas to Kilima Village or showing his trust in his companion, Tau. However, as per Auni's letter, something has upset him, which players can investigate in the Rocky Start Friendship quest.

Learning that Hassian is angry at Kenli for not doing anything regarding the chapaas, despite multiple requests, he angrily asks players to find something to do, like helping Villagers around Kilima Village. Palia Rocky Start Friendship Quest Objectives List

Rocky Start is Hassian's Friendship quest that players can receive after reading Auni's letter and speaking with Hassian once reaching Friendship Level 2. This Friendship quest is slightly different from other Villagers' Friendship quests as it has three subquests that players must complete before returning to Hassian.

Hassian tasks players with doing "something useful" around the village, for which this quest has three subquests: Rocky Start: Carrot Cares, Rocky Start: Shop Support, and Rocky Start: Something Sweet. As such, we'll be summarizing each subquest to help players complete the Rocky Start quest by listing all the objectives players to compete for the Rocky Start Friendship quest and its subquests in Palia:

How To Complete The Rocky Start Friendship Quest In Palia?

As explained before, the Rocky Start Friendship quest has three subquests: Rocky Start: Carrot Cares, Rocky Start: Shop Support, and Rocky Start: Something Sweet, which requires them to help out three Villagers in Kilima Village. The Villagers needing help are marked on the World Map, and they are to fulfill their requests before speaking to Hassian to complete this quest.

In the Rocky Start: Shop Support subquest, head into the village and talk with Zeki, who asks them to purchase something from his store, and we recommend buying the Carrot Seeds, which completes an objective for the Rocky Start: Carrot Cares subquest. In return for their patronage, their Friendship Level with Zeki will improve as this completes the Rocky Start: Shop Support subquest.

For the Rocky Start: Carrot Cares, they must chat with Chayne, who'll refer them to Badruu, who needs help with his garden as he requires a few items before receiving the subquest's rewards. They bring Badruu a pack of Carrot Seeds, which can be acquired from Zeki's General Store for 15 Gold or after placing Carrots into the Seed Collector Hopper.

If they complete the Rocky Start: Shop Support subquest, they will have the Carrot Seeds in their Inventory, which can be gifted to Badruu. They'll receive one Cream of Tomato Soup as a reward and will improve their Friendship Level with Badruu upon this subquest's completion.

Lastly, they must speak with Auni for the Rocky Start: Something Sweet as he asks players to get him a sweet treat to eat, which can be prepared or baked in their home kitchen or purchased from Reth's Cooking Guild Store. We recommend using Auni's liked and loved food gifts, like Apple Jam, Apple Pie, Blueberry Jam, Blueberry Pie, Celebration Cake, or Macarons, to prepare before turning in the sweet treat to Auni.

They'll receive five Renown, a Bahari Bee, and improve their friendship with Auni to complete the subquest before heading home. Once arriving at their Housing Plot, Hassian and Tau will be awaiting them; they can proceed in speaking with him as he thanks them for helping the Villagers and awarding them with 20 Renown and 50 Standard Arrows and have their Friendship Level with Hassian improve to end his Friendship quest.
