There’s a bunch of new and returning Pokémon in Sword and Shield’s first expansion, but one of the most coveted new additions is Galarian Slowbro.

If you purchased the Isle of Armor DLC beforehand, you would have been handed a Galarian Slowpoke at Wedgehurst Station for free as a gift.

But how do you evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowbro? There’s a few hoops you have to jump through.

How to evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowbro

Before you can evolve Galarian Slowpoke, you have to explore Isle of Armor to find eight Galarica Twigs - a new item found underneath trees around Isle of Armor.

After you’ve acquired eight Galarica Twigs, head back to the Isle of Armor Station. From there, head right to the Workout Sea where you should find an island with an arch.

An NPC character on the island will then offer you an item in exchange for eight Galarica Twigs. Make the exchange and you’ll receive a Galarica Cuff.

From the bag menu, use this item on Galarian Slowpoke and he’ll evolve into Galarian Slowbro.

If you find a shiny version of Galarian Slowpoke, this item will also evolve the Pokémon into a shiny Galarian Slowbro.

A second expansion for Pokémon Sword and Shield titled The Crown Tundra will arrive later this year, where an item will let you evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowking.

Pokemon Sword and Shield's first expansion Isle of Armor is available on Nintendo Switch now.
