Pokémon GO Galarian Zigzagoon Special Research - How To Get Field Notes

The Season of GO has one Community Day event left, and for August, Niantic chose Galarian Zigzagoon as the feature in Pokémon GO. As a rare form in the game, this will be the perfect chance to add an elusive shiny to your collection.

But catching a featured Pokémon is only one part of the Community Day formula. Each event always brings in some Special Research as well, and for the last few months, Niantic has been calling it Field Notes. Unfortunately, these won't appear automatically like research in the Pokémon GO Bug Out! event, so you'll have to pick it up yourself.

How to get Galarian Zigzagoon Special Research Ticket

Every time a Community Day event draws near, the tickets will become available in the Pokémon GO Shop. During the events, Niantic will occasionally release some free timed research, but you shouldn't expect it. Instead, you will need to buy the Field Notes: Galarian Zigzagoon ticket to access any Special Research.

To purchase the ticket, you can tap on the Poké Ball symbol at the bottom of the screen and bring up the menus. From there, tap on the shop symbol, where you will be greeted with two ticket options. One is for the GO Fest 2022 finale event, and the other is for Zigzagoon. The one you want will cost about $1.00.

Keep in mind that you can't use any Poké Coins to buy the ticket, regardless of how many you have. Instead, you must use real-life currency for this purchase. On the bright side, there are new options to gift the ticket to other friends in the game. Purchasing as a gift is done in the same way as the standard option.

You'll need to get all of this done before or during the Galarian Zigzagoon Community Day. The event will begin at 10 am local time on 13th August 2022 and end at 2 pm local time that same day. Additional bonuses will stay until about 8 pm local time, but the main event will go away.

As for the Field Notes: Galarian Zigzagoon Special Research, that will last forever if you bought the ticket. It's always nice to have a Special Research story as well, but it's not required. The Community Day research will always ensure you get a Galarian Obstagoon, but that's about it. But the higher chances of a shiny could be worth it.
