Gunfire Games

The world of Remnant 2 is full of secrets to uncover. Whether it's new hidden Archetypes or secret powerful gear, if you look thoroughly, you will be handsomely rewarded.

While exploring the lush forests of Yaesha, you may have stumbled upon something called the Bloodmoon Altar. You can get a bunch of unique-looking Armor pieces, weapons, rings, and crafting resources from it. However, they all require a strange material called Blood Moon Essence. If you're wondering how to get this secret item in the game, you have come to the right place. Here's how to get Blood Moon Essence in Remnant 2.

You can get Blood Moon Essence by shooting these flying red orbs in the Yaesna region. However, you can see them only when the Blood Moon is active.

To find out if the Blood Moon is active or not, simply look up at the sky in Yaesna for a red-colored Moon. If it's there, navigate the area, and you should soon find a few red orbs floating in the sky. They don't linger around for very long, so use a long gun or something else with a good range to shoot them down in a single shot.

If you don't see any more red orbs in the area, interact with the World Stone and come back to that area. You should be able to spot more red orbs soon. We recommend exploring places like The Forbidden Grove and the Root Nexus for them.

The Blood Moon triggers randomly, so it may take a while until the sky in Yaesna turns crimson. You may want to fast travel back and forth in the area to trigger a Blood Moon, but it could still take some time.

However, if you end up killing the Doe instead of saving it during the Ravager encounter, the Blood Moon spawns more often than not. It's a tough choice, but you got to do what you got to do to get that sweet loot.

Once you have gathered sufficient Blood Moon Essence by shooting the red orbs, head to the Bloodmoon Altar. Now you could buy the incredible-looking Knotted Cage armor, among other things.
