Remnant 2: All Secret Archetypes & How To Unlock

In Remnant 2, Archetypes are classes with unique abilities and traits that favor different playstyles. Different Archetypes also support different weapon types, so you must choose carefully. 

You start with one of the four Archetypes (five if you pre-ordered.) These are Challenger, Handler, Hunter, and Medic. However, you can unlock and equip an additional Archetype later on in the game. Apart from these, there are a bunch of secret Archetypes that can significantly change your gameplay experience. However, they aren't exactly easy to unlock.  As such, here's our guide, which lists all the secret Archetypes in Remnant 2 and how to unlock them. 

All Secret Archetypes to Unlock in Remnant 2

So far, we have discovered five secret Archetypes in Remnant 2. These are Alchemist, Explore, Engineer, Invader, and Summoner.  

Alchemist Archetype

The Alchemist Archetype is a solid support Archetype that can boost elemental resistances, health regeneration, and weapon efficiency. Its three skills are Vial: Stone Mist, Vial: Frenzy Dust, and Vial: Elixir of Life.

You can unlock the Alchemist Archetype by crafting the Philosopher's Stone Engram. For this, you will need Philsopher's Stone, which you can get by slaying a Manticora in the Losomn region. 

Explorer Archetype

The Explore Archetype is a utility Archetype that can boost movement speed, the spawn rate of rare loot, ability to spot treasures and special items. Its three skills are Plainswalker, Gold Digger, and Fortune Hunter. 

You can unlock the Explorer Archetype in Remnant 2 by crafting the Golden Compass Engram. For this, you will Golden Compass, which you can get by defeating the final main boss of Remnant 2 in Root Earth. 

Summoner Archetype

The Summoner Archetype is basically the mage class that can summon a Root minion to fight alongside it. It's a great choice for solo play, especially if you pair it up with the Blood Bond trait. The Summoner's three skills are Minion: Hollow, Minion: Flyer, and Minion: Reaver. 

You can unlock the Summon Archetype in Remnant 2 by crafting the Tome of the Bringer Engram. For this, you will need an item called Faded Grimoire, which you can purchase from the Blood Moon Altar by using Blood Moon Essence. 

Engineer Archetype

The Engineer Archetype specializes in using heavy weaponry and deploying turrets to the battlefield. Its perks focus on increasing skill damage and improving armor efficiency. The Engineer's three skills are Heavy Weapon: Vulcan, Heavy Weapon: Flamethrower, and Heavy Weapon: Impact Cannon.

You can unlock the Engineer Archetype by crafting the Drzyr Caliper Engram. For this, you will need an Alien Device, which you can find in The Eon Vault of the N'Erud region of the game. 

Invader Archetype

The Invader Archetype specializes in precision and agility. It's a trickster class that favors dodging, teleportation, and life steals. The Invader's three skills are Void Cloak, Wormhole, and Reboot. 

You can unlock the Invaded Archetype in Remnant 2 by crafting the Serrated Root Blade Engram. For this, you will need Wooden Shiv, which you can get by slaying the Bane Boss in Root World.
