The award-winning free-to-play MMO RPG, Guild Wars 2, is finally coming to Steam almost ten years after its initial launch. It was finally made official when an announcement came via the Guild Wars 2's official website.

The Steam release for the critically acclaimed MMO has been a long time coming and should especially excite new players who have been looking for an opportunity to dive into the ever-evolving fantastical world of Tyria.

Guild Wars 2 on steam will be free-to-play though players could also buy the Guild Wars 2 collection bundle. Here's everything you need to know about it.

The Guild Wars 2 collection bundle contains all three expansions of the game.

  • Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thrones
  • Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire
  • Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons 

The collection also includes the game's five Living World seasons. All in all, it's quite a meaty package, containing everything from the game's first ten years.

The Guild Wars 2 collection bundle on Steam costs £86.97 (~$100). Given the sheer amount of content it offers, the price shouldn't come off as too surprising. The Guild Wars 2 collection bundle releases on 23rd August 2022. As of this writing, players can wishlist the game on Steam.

This collection will be exclusive to Steam for some time though developer ArenaNet has assured fans that it's working to bring the complete package to its web store and in-game store for existing players in the future. There is no release date as of now.

Guild Wars 2 is also getting Twitch Drops beginning 23rd August. As is usually the case with these drops, players can earn exclusive in-game character rewards like classic outfits, experience boosters, cosmetics, and more.

Veteran players should also have the Guild Wars 2's 10th-anniversary event to look forward to. Players can expect new achievements and new tasks, the latter of which would allow them to earn the new Decade Armor set.

There will also be a Gem Store sale coinciding with the 10th-anniversary event, including some free items such as the mount skin. In short, fans should have a ton to look forward to. That's everything you need to know about the Guild Wars 2 collection bundle on Steam.
