Hideo Kojima Teases New Details About Unreleased Game

Acclaimed Japanese video game producer Hideo Kojima recently teased new details about his upcoming game. In a cryptic post via Twitter on 2 December 2022, Kojima wrote, "Start a new journey," attaching an image of what appears to be three logos. Following his Tweet, several fans have speculated as to what each symbol might mean.

The centerpiece (which closely resembles Fragile's logo in Death Stranding) first appeared in early November, when Hideo Kojima revealed that Japanese-Australian actress Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio in Deadpool 2) would feature as one of the game's main characters. This reveal occurred a month after Kojima Productions confirmed that Hollywood actress Elle Fanning would feature in the game.

Notwithstanding the involvement of Shioli Kutsuna and Elle Fanning (whose roles are yet to be confirmed), not much more is known about Hideo Kojima's next game project. However, there is speculation that this next title could be either Death Stranding 2 or a new horror game called Overdose.

Supporting an argument for the former, one Twitter user wrote, "The logo in the middle seems like a new logo for Bridges, while Automated Public Assistance is definitely another new company in Death Stranding 2!" The same user added in a follow-up Tweet, "Third logo looks like a BT with an (sic) arrows or sticks inside its body just like the ones Mules throws at you, so it could probably be a group of people/company that is specialized in fighting BTs!"

A different Twitter user speculated that the game could be "ocean/sea related," noting that the logos bare some similarity to a "compass, bridge, [and] sea monster." While it's tough to say if these fan theories are correct, it seems that fans won't be left in the dark for much longer.

Commenting on Hideo Kojima's Tweet, the official Twitter account for The Game Awards wrote just one thing: a siren emoji. While this is nothing to go by, it could suggest that more details concerning Hideo Kojima's new game might be announced at The Game Awards 2022 on 8 December (fingers crossed).

We will endeavor to update you regarding any further developments.
