Wild Rift patch 2.4: Release date, leaks, info and more

Wild Rift’s current patch has been a huge success and new champions such as Riven, Irelia brought some fresh content to the table. Riot Games, the game developers, will be launching patch 2.4 in a few weeks with plenty of new champions, items, events, and skins.

As per leaks and unofficial sources, Wild Rift patch 2.4 will bring several Ruined and Sentinel skins. Apart from this, a new champion, Akshan would be coming along with the update, and players can unlock it through the Sentinels of Light event. Here’s the exact release date of patch 2.4.

Wild Rift Patch 2.4 release date

As per the official schedule, Wild Patch 2.4 is releasing on 28 July (01:00 UTC). Once a patch is released, players will have a 24 hour grace period during which they can keep playing with other pre-patch players. After that, one must have to download and install the latest update to queue up.
Update Size

Players can update the game to the latest version once it is made available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. However, it’s important to note that that each patch usually weighs around 2 GB. Therefore we can assume that Wild Rift patch 2.4 will occupy approximately 4GB of storage space after installation. So make sure you have enough space in your device from updating the game to its latest version. 

Wild Rift 2.4 - Leaks and features

The first thing that Riot Games will introduce in the Wild Rift patch 2.4 is the champion ban system. The champion banning phase will allow players to ban up to three champions in the ranked matches. Moreover, the developers have also stated they’ll upgrade it and increase the ban count to five in the future.

Apart from this, the game might receive a new feature called Community Tab in the patch 2.4 update. Several reports unveiled that players can view the player-made custom guides and rune recommendations directly into the Wild Rift.

However, it has just been spotted in China’s alpha test. Thus we suggest taking this piece of information with a pinch of salt until the update is launched globally.

Since the update is a couple of weeks away, we don’t have the complete information regarding the forthcoming content at the moment. 

It’s worth noting that the next dev diary is likely to release soon on the Wild Rift’s official YouTube channel. Hence the developers may uncover the official patch 2.4 notes in a couple of days.
