How To Beat Zhang Rang Boss In Wo Long Fallen Dynasty

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty offers plenty of opportunities to put its solid combat to good use. The most challenging of these are the boss battles. These combat encounters primarily boil down to deflecting enemy attacks to fill up their upper Spirit Gauge and ultimately deal fatal strikes to finish them. 

Zhang Rang is the eighth main boss in Wo Long and arguably the most challenging one since Zhang Liang. Unlike previous boss encounters, this isn't a straightforward battle, which makes it all the more interesting. Here's how you can beat Zhang Rang in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. 

How To Beat Zhang Rang Boss Fight In Wo Long Fallen Dynasty

As soon as the battle begins, Zhang Rang makes multiple clones of themselves that litter the entire battle arena. They all have similar attacks, including critical blows.
It's easy to get overwhelmed but fret not. It's a much easy battle than it seems. 

Firstly, the real Zhang Rang is the one who doesn't have a health bar over them. However, we would recommend not going after them first since it's easy to get cornered by the clones. 

We recommend clearing at least half of the clones before targeting Zhang Rang. Just leave at least one clone alive, or Zhang Rang will summon dozens more, making this battle more tedious. 
Thankfully, Zhang Rang and their clones don't have any groundbreaking attacks that would make this battle incredibly difficult.

There is a simple lightning attack that you can avoid by dodging or deflecting. Do equip special effects that increase your resistance against Lightning attacks.  Another move involves throwing a light orb, which you can also dodge or deflect.

To make this fight easier, use Spirit attacks on the clones. Doing so will shorten the length of Zhang Rang's Spirit Gauge. Since there are a lot of enemies, it's best to use elemental attacks with AOE damage. Thankfully, there's at least one such ability in each of the five Phases.

Zhang Rang has only one critical blow, in which they dash toward you with their Spear. This isn't difficult to deflect, and you will have plenty of opportunities to time your attacks. Thankfully, Zhang Rang takes a ton of damage via fatal strikes, so make sure to keep that a priority.
