Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a massive JRPG in which you can sink hundreds of exploring the gorgeous but deadly world of Agnus. Even though it features real-time combat, it's still a traditional party-based JRPG where you decide which characters to bring into the battle.

Every character in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has a starting class which you can change later in the game. This includes all the 14 classes spread across three roles - Attacker, Defender, and Healer. So if you want to change your character's class in the game and have no idea how to do it, don't worry. This guide explains how to change a character's class in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

How to unlock new classes in Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Before you change your class in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, you will have to unlock new classes. Every recruitable hero has a starting class, which you can acquire by completing their Hero quests.

We don't have concrete info on every Hero quest in the game now, but we will write separate articles on them when they are available.

Unlocking those classes is challenging; however, things become easier once all the classes have been unlocked. To change your character's class, go to the Class Selection Menu and choose from all the available classes. Before selecting a new class, you can examine the class stats and other class-related info.

Changing your class in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will also change their pre-existing stats and combat arts, so keep that in mind before you make your decision. Leveling up your class will also allow you to transfer these combat arts from one class to another.
